Like my memories of you,
perhaps I was too harsh.
I could never admit my own failings,
though they sat so big in the back of my mind.
A fall was coming, I could feel it
and ran over the edge with blissful abandon.
It’s not about how you land though,
it’s about how you fall – and I fell horribly.
The ground is hard, I found, but not as hard as you,
you’re granite and you’re the panic in me.
I just couldn’t see through the reels and reels,
my concepts are all broken now, like me.
